Tues in Haiti
May 11th
Hey all, we made it safe to Hinche, Haiti. It’s about 90°, feels like 110°. No one is sick. Everyone’s working hard. Tomorrow we start our conferences. Our pastors will be showing up in the morning. Our ladies will be going out to Ravine Cow(about 45 min away) to start their first ladies conference. Well, thanks for praying. I’ll send a few photos tomorrow hopefully.

May 17 Travel Day Arrive LAX
Pastor Jack Duggan from Calvary Chapel Hamakua, HI will be helping me teach the pastors. Our Theme is “Mourning into Dancing”(i.e. on Suffering) from Ps.30.
Kelly will be leading the ladies conferences each day with her team. Their theme is: “The Love of God”.
Also a team from Hawaii is finishing our first Talapia/Aquaponics pond. Aquaponics is a cool system that uses the symbiotic cultivation of plants and aquatic animals in a recirculating environment. So basically you raise fish(Talpia) & their waste fertilizes the plants that grow in water troughs. In turn the plants filter & clean the water which passes through the fish tank again to keep the water moving. So you end up with fat Talapia to eat, & fresh vegies(ok, poopy vegies, but vegies none the less)

No Starbucks
Mar 20th

Ok, so we couldn’t find a Starbucks in Jordan yet, so we stopped right off the side of their freeway & had some great Turkish coffee. Real thick, real strong, & by the way…don’t drink the last gulp…all the grounds are in the bottom.
Great memories.

Israel/Jordan 2010
Mar 20th

Well just back from our Israel/Jordan trip & it was awesome. Do to the economy we ended up with a small team, “the dirty dozen”. The dirtiest of the dozen is taking the picture.
We walked where Jesus walked, blessed with incredible weather, saw some new sights, but most importantly got to spend 2 full weeks, day & night, with a great group of new friends (or at least friendships to a whole new level). Join us for spring 2012, you wont be able to read any part of the bible without saying, “we were there!”
joseph & the cast of many colors
Feb 4th
Here’s a picture of little Joseph who had a broken femur. Our doc’s put this cast & brace on him. Both mom & dad were killed in Port-au-Prince. Grandma is carrying for him now. He had been laying in the hospital hallway for a week & a half before we got there. One of our team members (Cindy) saw him & was able to persuade the head doctor to let us see him & operate. Pray for lil Joseph’s healing.
Kids in the Hospital
Jan 28th
These poor kids many of them have to stay for 6-8 weeks here in the hospital. So…we can at least make them laugh, do a couple balloon animals, & pray for them in the name of Jezi! Below is Dave & Warren (Dr. Mango & Dr.Fou) Mwen fou pou Jezi! (I’m a fool for Jesus!)

U.N. Escort
Jan 28th
Just a shot of me with the Chilean Marine commander of the U.N. convoy. Great guys working hard & a long way from home. They will escort us Saturday to (somewhere) to go get a whole bunch of beans & rice :)

Resting on the Word of God
Jan 27th

Hello from Hinche Haiti. This man is an earthquake victim from Port-Au-Prince. Finally sleeping soundly on the Word of God. The country is pretty crazy enough when things are “good” but most phone lines are down now & the rest over loaded.
Wow the U.N. has been incredible. We had 2 amphibious vehicles with 6 armed marines in each vehicle, from Chile, Nepal, even Jordan that escorted us to Hinche from Cap-Haiten (up north). The head commander has toured our compound, enjoyed Cindy’s brownies, & has been a great help. Then US special forces showed up getting everyones name & picture in case they have to evacuate & just collect intel on folks. Even the Pentagon has called Kevin a couple times, as theres not a lot of info coming from the upper plateau where we are located.
The Hinche Hospital (St. Theresa) is overwhelmed with people up from Port-au-Prince. Most have double breaks like 2 broken legs. How they treat it is…with a sand filled gallon jug off the end of the bed so it pulls on the leg to put the bone back in place..so they have to lay there for a couple months. 1 baby was burned neck to foot, I blew up a red balloon for her, she smiled, ver cute! Most the people here haven’t been seen (by a doctor) obviously since the earthquake. So sad. Then the 1 doctor from the Hinche hospital makes our doc’s quit at 4pm, they want to work till late, but he calls the shots, much politics who gets seen & when.
So some of the docs & nurses went this morning to Hinche hospital & the rest our doing a clinic here. Well gotta go.
Thailand 11/8
Nov 8th
Back safely in Thailand & our trip was tremendous. I will find out tomorrow at a meeting what I can post & what I shouldn’t (pictures also). I don’t want to put anyone at risk so I need to ask a few questions first. But our medical Shock & Trauma Training went well. This is a 6 month program where we taught one of the weeks. A whole week of training even covering how to do stitches. Dr. Les, Jerren, & nurse Pat were awesome. More tomorrow.
