Well, internet went down on compound toward end of trip (or was really slow), so I gave up trying to post. But we did make it back. God did some incredible things.

Funny, you get home & takes time to process all that the Lord showed you, all that He speaks to your heart, & especially the great disparity between 2 worlds. It isn’t easy for those who visit a 3rd world country to walk away from those who live on less than a $2 a day & come home to commercials advertising the most idiotic things…disparity!

Pastor Iliobert, the coolest pastor in Haiti! :) Look how well the garden is doing.

We finished day 2 of our pastors conference. Iliobert is interpreting for Pastor Jack & I. We will finish tomorrow.

Ever see where we stay? This is HEF’s 36 acre compound, It’s the rain season so still is green. Beautiful blue sky today. White fluffy clouds…And hotter the Iraq and more humid than Georgia…Wow!

Gals went out to a town called Labi today. They had about 40-50 ladies..it was hot & humid today…Wow! The girls are troopers. And George E has been driving them out to the bush & watching over them, playing with all the kids, & always finds someone who speaks Spanish wherever he goes.

After my sessions were over with the pastors, I took my camera for a walk & made some friends. These are the children of some of the Haitian workers cooking for all the pastors during the conference. They’re sweet.

Day 1 of Pastors conf went well. Pastor Jack in the photo is teaching with me.

The ladies went out to Ravin Cow church. They had about 50 ladies. The ladies were really blest by the teachings & gifts (dresses, costume jewelry, flip flops, etc.).

The Tilapia aquaponics is going great…Tilapia fingerlings are comin tomorrow. Pray they make the trek from Porta-au-Prince. Thanks for praying! Brian

Hey all, we made it safe to Hinche, Haiti. It’s about 90°, feels like 110°. No one is sick. Everyone’s working hard. Tomorrow we start our conferences. Our pastors will be showing up in the morning. Our ladies will be going out to Ravine Cow(about 45 min away) to start their first ladies conference. Well, thanks for praying. I’ll send a few photos tomorrow hopefully.

May 10 Leave LAX

May 11 Arrive in Haiti in the afternoon (2 hours ahead).

May 12 Pastors Conference; Women’s Conference Ravine Cave Church.

May 13 Pastors Conference; Women’s Conference Laby Church.

May 14 Pastors Conference; Women’s Conference Papaye Church.

May 15 Women’s Conference Terre-Cassee Church.

May 16 Church in Hinche.

May 17 Travel Day Arrive LAX

Pastor Jack Duggan from Calvary Chapel Hamakua, HI will be helping me teach the pastors. Our Theme is “Mourning into Dancing”(i.e. on Suffering) from Ps.30.

Kelly will be leading the ladies conferences each day with her team. Their themes are: “Let your light shine before men” “We are the salt of the earth” “Don’t be anxious” “The fruit of love”.

Also a team from Hawaii is finishing our first Talapia/Aquaponics pond. Aquaponics is a cool system that uses the symbiotic cultivation of plants and aquatic animals in a recirculating environment. So basically you raise fish(Talpia) & their waste fertilizes the plants that grow in water troughs. In turn the plants filter & clean the water which passes through the fish tank again to keep the water moving. So you end up with fat Talapia to eat, & fresh vegies(ok, poopy vegies, but vegies none the less)
