The country is crazy enough when things are good but most phone lines are down or just over loaded.
Wow the U.N. has been incredible. We had 2 amphibious vehicles with 6 armed marines from Chile, Nepal, even Jordan that escorted us to HInche. The head commander has toured the compound, enjoyed Cindy’s brownies, & has been a great help. hen US special forces showed up getting everyones name & picture in case they have to evacuate & just collect intel on folks. Even the Pentagon has called Kevin a couple times, as theres not a lot of info coming from the upper plateau.
The Hinche Hospital (St. Theresa) is overwhelmed with people up from Port-au-Prince. Most have double breaks like 2 broken legs. How they treat it is…with a sand filled gallon jug off the end of the bed so it pulls on the leg to put the bone back in place..so they have to lay there for a couple months. 1 baby was burned neck to foot. Most the people here haven’t been seen (by a doctor) obviously since the earthquake. So sad. Then the 1 doctor from the Hinche hospital makes our doc’s quit at 4pm, they want to work till late, but he calls the shots, much politics who gets seen & when.
So some of the docs & nurses went this morning to Hinche hospital & the rest our doing a clinic here. Well gotta go

Hello from Hinche Haiti. This man is an earthquake victim from Port-Au-Prince. Finally sleeping soundly on the Word of God.  The country is pretty crazy enough when things are “good” but most phone lines are down now & the rest over loaded.

The head commander has toured our compound, enjoyed Cindy’s brownies, & has been a great help.
